Recently, as in like 2 nights ago, I was bored and decided to enter FoW with a pug group. I didn't want to do too much work, so i bonded for them, we went with 1 tank 3 monks 3 eles and 1 ranger. From the beginning, to the guy that you take the forgemaster quest from, we had 15 shard drops, and at least 10 gold drops and 20 purple drops. It seemed like heaven.

Just wondering if everyone has had better luck in FoW than UW lateley or is it just me that one time? doesnt have to be that outstanding, but at least a better drop rate, that may seem to have increased

Nope. Still the same.
FOW and UW tend to sway from one extreme to another. You either get looaaads of ectos and shards as well as other stuff or you get nearly nothing.

Thats because Anet instead of banning acouns that do something wrong just ban acouns that dont do anything wrong

therefore only solution they have against chinese farmers is to nerf drops in UW, as not many people can solo FOW. (except the beach or the forest)

Sorry, but I do not believe one bit of 15 shard drops, 10 golds and 20 purps.

Even if it isnt him. I was in FoW then too,our party had roughly the same drops. Personally, I have more fun in FoW cuz you're with a party and you get good drops. UW is only interesting to me for solo farming and the ectos...

Today i decided to do some spider farm in fow. I haven't done it in a while. and on my first run before i even got to the spiders i got 3 shard drop.

and then i died at spiders because i haven't done it in a while. XD

I know what you mean, roughly 4 days ago, got 3 ectos off of the first 6 aatxes in underworld.

(3 ectos from the first 6 monsters)

3 spider runs this morning 3AM till when we lost favor around 6:00 am est
5 shards, 3 on one run, and a black dye
still have never seen a gold down there, but seen many purples
I have only made about 8 sucessful runs, this is the cave, not the forest

normally I get one shard max a run and sometimes none

even without the shards, the legs pay for the runs, and everything else is gravy

couldnt interrupt healing spring very well this time for some reason dont know why

might look into using an axe instead of a sword

Fow is better if u can learn to use the solo builds (not just beach and forest but the armies and stuff). Uw is nice... ive gotten 3-4 ectos in one solo necro run but other than that theres nothing that makes it better than fow.

Well I for one do believe it, sometimes ours number just come up...I've done solo beach and had 5 shards and a perfect gold chaos axe from a dryder not counting the chests...sometimes 3 shards in a row from a group of 3 drifwoods. Then the next run, maybe one shard or nothing.
The legs and the rest of the profit go towards buying my ectos so lets keep specialising

In my experience, the UW is rubbish for Drops. My guild-leader and I have done many many smite-farm runs together as 55/SS team, and the most we have ever got is 3 ectos from a run. The average tends to be 1 measly ecto.

In FoW, when I learned the spider-run, my friend (who taught me) got 7 Shards on his run. I have since achieved a max of 5, and the lowest of 0 (it was 1 shard minimum until about 2 days ago T_T).

I have yet to find any perfect golds...

Solo UW when i first started farming for fow, i had insane drops... 1-2 ecto a run and the occasional 3. Also i would get about 1-2 gold drops not including chests, after a while though it all turned to 0-1 ecto a run with the occasional 2 and mostly purple weps. I think i got that good of drops because SOLO UW wasnt that popular at the time, it was all duo.

As for the 15 shards, 10 golds, and 20 purples... i dont believe it, did you take any screens?

i was in a forgemaster party for fissure armor, the run did get the guys in my party around 15 to 18 shards, i myself got about 2

10 gold from chest? or from monsters? my party got maybe 5 to 7 gold drop.
